mL × 100Before entering values
Confirm that the label is legible and that each number has a unit. Identify the total vial amount, actual liquid volume, and the exact syringe scale separately.
Before accepting a result
Repeat the mg-to-mcg conversion independently and check that the calculated dose is not larger than the total vial amount. Review every warning rather than working around it.
- Check decimal placement.
- Check mg versus mcg.
- Check mL versus U-100 units.
- Check the selected syringe capacity.
- Check the original source of the target dose.
Before saving or sharing
A saved calculation preserves the inputs; it does not validate them. When sharing arithmetic with a professional, include the original label information and all units.
Know when an online calculator is not enough
Questions about whether to use a product, what dose is appropriate, how it should be prepared, and whether it is safe are outside this calculator. Contact a licensed clinician or pharmacist.
Check the math in the calculator
Enter your own values and inspect the formula, units, syringe preview, and warnings together.
