Adding liquid changes concentration, expressed as milligrams per milliliter. It does not change the total peptide amount entered for the vial.
For example, 5 mg divided by 2 mL produces 2.5 mg/mL. The same 5 mg divided by 1 mL produces 5 mg/mL.
Concentration determines dose volume
Once concentration is known, divide the target dose in milligrams by the concentration. The result is the volume in milliliters associated with that mathematical dose.
- Concentration = vial mg ÷ liquid mL.
- Dose volume = dose mg ÷ concentration.
- U-100 units = dose volume × 100.
Why the liquid value must be exact
Entering the planned volume instead of the volume actually used changes every downstream result. The calculator cannot observe a vial or correct a measurement error.
What the calculator does not establish
It does not establish sterility, compatibility, stability, product identity, storage conditions, or an appropriate dose. Those questions require authoritative product information and qualified clinical guidance.
