Semaglutide Dose Calculator

Use this Semaglutide dose calculator for label-based vial math when a prescribed multi-dose vial requires conversion. It does not apply to oral tablets and does not replace the instructions for an FDA-approved prefilled pen.

Semaglutide Example Conversion Table

Every row is arithmetic based on 5 mg in 2 mL, producing a concentration of 2.5 mg/mL. This is not a mixing instruction. The target values are mathematical examples. They are not common, prescribed, or recommended doses.

Example targetVolume at 2.5 mg/mLU-100 marking
0.25 mg0.1 mL10 units
0.5 mg0.2 mL20 units
1 mg0.4 mL40 units

The table values are illustrative, not a semaglutide starting amount or titration schedule. Only use values printed on the current prescribed vial in the linked calculator.

How to read a semaglutide vial calculation

The calculation is short, but the input labels are easy to confuse. FDA reports show why milligrams, milliliters, and syringe units should remain visible from the first field to the result.

Identify the product before doing vial math

FDA-approved injectable semaglutide products use prefilled pens, while Rybelsus is an oral tablet. Neither presentation should be treated as a generic vial requiring a U-100 conversion. This Semaglutide dose calculator is intended only for a prescribed vial when the dispensing label and professional instructions supply the values needed for the calculation.

Compounded injectable products can be supplied in different containers and concentrations. The word semaglutide alone does not identify the concentration, salt form, added ingredients, or delivered volume. Read the current label rather than relying on a chart made for another pharmacy or another refill.

Separate dose mass from liquid volume

A prescribed amount in milligrams is mass. The number in mL is volume. A U-100 marking is another way to express that same volume, with 100 units equal to 1 mL. Concentration in mg/mL is the bridge between them. Without a verified concentration, there is no valid path from a target mass to syringe units.

FDA has described compounded semaglutide errors involving confusion among these measurements and products with different concentrations. Some reported patients administered five to 20 times the intended amount. Keeping the formula visible is therefore more useful than presenting a unit number without its source concentration.

Use the result as a cross-check, not a titration plan

A semaglutide dosage calculator does not decide a starting amount, dose increase, interval, or maintenance schedule. Those decisions require the current prescription and clinical guidance. The target field should already be known before the page is used; changing it until the output matches a familiar unit mark defeats the purpose of the check.

Compare the final concentration, mL, and U-100 marking with the written instructions. If any value conflicts, contact the prescriber or dispensing pharmacy before measuring the product. Do not fix a discrepancy by moving a decimal, copying another patient's units, or assuming all compounded vials share one concentration.

Three-step calculation

How to Calculate a Semaglutide Dose from Label Values

This page explains the calculation. The shared Peptide Calculator applies values you already have and never chooses a vial amount, liquid volume, target mass, or schedule.

1. Read the current label

Enter the total Semaglutide amount printed on the vial and the total liquid volume for that same vial. Do not combine values from two products.

2. Open the shared calculator

Use the CTA above to preselect Semaglutide, then replace every illustrative value with the vial, liquid, and target values from your qualified source.

3. Verify every unit

Read concentration first, then mL, then the U-100 marking. Repeat the decimal and unit conversion independently before relying on the result.

Product-specific context

Semaglutide vials, pens, and unit errors

FDA-approved injectable semaglutide products use prefilled pens with product-specific Instructions for Use. Those devices are not generic multi-dose vials, and their doses should not be recreated through an insulin-syringe conversion.

Compounded semaglutide may be dispensed in vials with concentrations that vary. FDA has received reports of patients drawing five to twenty times the intended amount after confusing milligrams, milliliters, and syringe units. That is why this page requires all source values and never guesses a concentration.

The semaglutide dosage calculator can show how a known target mass maps to volume, but it cannot verify the prescription, formulation, salt form, additives, or clinical appropriateness.

Regulatory and product note

FDA-approved semaglutide products include prefilled injection pens and oral tablets. FDA has reported serious measurement errors involving compounded injectable semaglutide in varying concentrations.

Semaglutide Calculation Formula

The name does not change the equations. Concentration links mass to volume; the U-100 conversion is applied last.

FORMULA 1

Concentration

vial mg ÷ liquid mL = mg/mL
FORMULA 2

Dose volume

target mg ÷ mg/mL = mL
FORMULA 3

U-100 marking

dose mL × 100 = units

If the target is entered in mcg, divide by 1,000 before using the dose-volume formula. The linked calculator does this conversion internally while keeping both mass units visible in the result.

Before accepting a result

Semaglutide Label and Input Checks

Confirm it is actually a vial

Do not use vial math for a prefilled pen, oral tablet, or device with a preset delivered amount.

Check mg/mL on this label

Compounded concentrations can vary. Never copy units from another patient, pharmacy, or older vial.

Read units as volume only

Ten U-100 units always describe 0.1 mL, but the semaglutide mass in that volume depends on concentration.
