Tesamorelin Dosage Calculator

Use this Tesamorelin dosage calculator to check mass-to-volume arithmetic only when the exact formulation and label values are known. It does not choose a dose, replace EGRIFTA instructions, or generalize one presentation to another.

Calculate your Tesamorelin conversion

Replace the example values with the total vial amount, final liquid volume, and target mass from one current label or qualified instruction. The calculator does not choose a dose.

Tesamorelin Example Conversion Table

Every row is arithmetic based on 10 mg in 2 mL, producing a concentration of 5 mg/mL. This is not a mixing instruction. The target values are mathematical examples. They are not common, prescribed, or recommended doses.

Example targetVolume at 2.5 mg/mLU-100 marking
0.25 mg0.05 mL5 units
0.5 mg0.1 mL10 units
1 mg0.2 mL20 units

These rows use an invented concentration to demonstrate arithmetic. They are not EGRIFTA WR or EGRIFTA SV preparation directions, labeled doses, or interchangeable product instructions.

Formulation checks for tesamorelin calculations

Tesamorelin is a clear example of why ingredient names alone are not enough. The formulation name, vial strength, supplied diluent, final volume, and instructions must stay together.

Identify WR, SV, or another presentation first

EGRIFTA WR and EGRIFTA SV are formulation names, not decorative labels. Their vial strengths and instructions differ. A Tesamorelin dosage calculator should never move a diluent volume or concentration from one formulation to the other. Read the complete product name and use the prescribing information written for that exact presentation.

A product described only as tesamorelin may not provide enough information to calculate. If the label omits the final volume, component strength, or required preparation instructions, do not substitute values from an approved product. The calculator cannot establish pharmaceutical equivalence from a shared active-ingredient name.

Follow the concentration chain without shortcuts

The formula starts with total mass divided by final liquid volume. A deliberately hypothetical 10 mg in 2 mL equals 5 mg/mL. A mathematical target of 0.5 mg would then equal 0.1 mL and 10 units on a U-100 scale. These values are chosen to make the decimal relationship easy to inspect, not to represent an EGRIFTA formulation or labeled dose.

If official instructions already provide a prepared concentration, compare it with the concentration calculated from the entered mass and volume. A disagreement usually points to a wrong formulation, wrong final volume, or unit error. Resolve the source values rather than changing the target to force agreement.

Keep clinical instructions attached to the product label

A volume converter does not interpret indication, frequency, storage, compatibility, missed doses, or adverse effects. It also cannot determine whether a vial should be used after a preparation error. Those questions belong to the current prescribing information and a licensed prescriber or pharmacist.

Record the formulation name beside any saved calculation. Include total vial mass, final volume, target unit, concentration, calculated mL, and U-100 marking. Without the formulation name, a clean set of numbers can later be mistaken for a different tesamorelin presentation, which defeats the purpose of a product-specific page.

Three-step calculation

How to use this Tesamorelin dosage calculator

This page explains the calculation. The shared Peptide Calculator applies values you already have and never chooses a vial amount, liquid volume, target mass, or schedule.

1. Read the current label

Enter the total Tesamorelin amount printed on the vial and the total liquid volume for that same vial. Do not combine values from two products.

2. Open the shared calculator

Use the CTA above to preselect Tesamorelin, then replace every illustrative value with the vial, liquid, and target values from your qualified source.

3. Verify every unit

Read concentration first, then mL, then the U-100 marking. Repeat the decimal and unit conversion independently before relying on the result.

Product-specific context

Tesamorelin formulation-specific instructions

Tesamorelin is available in named prescription formulations with different vial strengths and product-specific directions. DailyMed warns that recommendations for the EGRIFTA WR 11.6 mg-vial formulation do not apply to the 2 mg-vial formulation. The shared ingredient name does not make their preparation steps interchangeable.

This page does not reproduce the prescribing instructions for either product. It accepts values only after the user has identified the exact presentation and obtained the applicable mass, liquid volume, and target amount from authoritative instructions.

The calculator then applies ordinary concentration math. It cannot decide whether the labeled indication applies, check contraindications, choose a target, or confirm that a compounded or unlabeled vial matches an approved EGRIFTA product.

Regulatory and product note

FDA-approved tesamorelin has formulation-specific prescribing information. DailyMed states that EGRIFTA WR 11.6 mg-vial recommendations apply only to that formulation and directs readers elsewhere for the 2 mg-vial formulation.

Transparent arithmetic

Tesamorelin Calculation Formula

The name does not change the equations. Concentration links mass to volume; the U-100 conversion is applied last.

FORMULA 1

Concentration

vial mg ÷ liquid mL = mg/mL
FORMULA 2

Dose volume

target mg ÷ mg/mL = mL
FORMULA 3

U-100 marking

dose mL × 100 = units

If the target is entered in mcg, divide by 1,000 before using the dose-volume formula. The linked calculator does this conversion internally while keeping both mass units visible in the result.

Tesamorelin Label and Input Checks

Read the complete formulation name

Do not transfer mass, diluent, final volume, or preparation directions between EGRIFTA WR, EGRIFTA SV, and another product.

Use the applicable prescribing information

The product label, not a generic chart, determines which input values and preparation steps belong together.

Do not use examples as instructions

The values on this page illustrate equations and are not approved-product specifications, recommended doses, or mixing directions.
